Weeding Out the Stoned

Weeding Out The Stoned was created in 2015 by Alex Grubard at Good Good Comedy Theatre in Philadelphia. The show has gone on to be featured in The New York Comedy Festival, toured dozens of cities, and gotten over 1,000 comedians high. Time Out New York deemed it “Best 4/20 Events in NYC,” Philadelphia Weekly says it’s “The Best of 4/20 2023 throughout the United States,” and director Kevin Smith says it’s “a kick-ass show.” Weeding Out The Stoned has played many boutique comedy venues throughout the United States.

Alex Grubard is a stand-up comedian, live events producer and proud game show host. He is host and creator of Weeding Out The Stoned – The Game Show of Sobriety Tests and a co-producer of popular Jersey City live stand-up showcases Corgi Comedy Club at Corgi Spirits and Crockpot at Pet Shop. Grubard is a regular feature act at the comedy clubs Helium, Goodnights, Bananas, Cap City, Punch Line, Wisecrackers and The Comedy Studio. He has performed sketch comedy on Comedy Central, stand-up on mtvU and heard on SiriusXM. His debut stand-up album “Let Me Teach You How To Distill Gin” was released on Helium Comedy Records in 2021 and he is a past winner of LOL @ The Grand and multi-year finalist in Philly’s Phunniest comedy competitions.
