Lucas Matt is a country music singer/songwriter, performer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in New Jersey. Music became a part of his life at a very young age, leading to majoring in classical and jazz guitar in high school, and music production in college.
As a session musician, at the age of 18, he got into the country genre, and that was a point of no return.
He became inspired by then-current country artists such as Zac Brown Band, Chris Young, and Blake Shelton, and began including their songs in his repertoire, as well as using that inspiration to compose original music.
In 2019 he released his first single, Cruise Control, followed by three other singles.
In 2021 he released his self-produced debut EP “Young Blondes & Old Whiskey”. The EP consists of party and drinking songs with over-driven and twangy guitars, to bluesy, romantic steel guitar songs. The EP has reached close to 100k streams on Spotify and other streaming platforms, leading to over 10k monthly listeners on Spotify.
As a performer, he has played major venues in the tri-state area as well as the Jersey shore, including Borgata and Hard Rock in Atlantic City, Spicy’s in Seaside Heights, and Red Rocks in Red Bank.
He is in the process of writing and recording/producing his full new album, while still performing over three hundred nights a year as a solo artist as well as with his band.
