Medical Marijuana & CBD For Patients

Though controversial and often vilified, medical marijuana and CBD have changed the lives of many people with its medicinal properties to help patients with a variety of physical, emotional and mental hurdles to get over, including those battling cancer. Stigmatized by the government and media for a long time and highly controversial, cannabis has been used for medicinal purposes as well  as recreationally all across the United States and beyond. But this versatile plant can change lives enormously. We will discuss some of those uses and patients will share stories about how this plant has helped them recover.

Bios

Dan Jensen

As a former career EMT and current NJ Firefighter, I dealt with many years of undiagnosed PTSD. When I stepped away from EMS in 2014, I found myself in a new career to assist the Cannabis Industry. With learning about PTSD and medicinal Cannabis consumption, my life was forever changed. At this time, I founded Code 3 Outreach, aka Calm In Chaos, to educate people like myself. Through our efforts, we have had the honor of helping fund multiple volunteer Fire Departments, educating these men and women, and changing outdated policies that prevent these people from accessing a proven alternative healing method.

Patrick Duff

Patrick has called talk radio thousands of times since the 1990s, spreading the gospel of ending the negative stigma associated with being a cannabis user, and in 2003, he funded a radio show where he featured the likes of Marc Emery, Law Enforcement Against Prohibition, NJWeedman and Jack Herer.  Patrick would move in with Jack Herer in California, where they traveled the West Coast, hitting festivals.  In 2005, Patrick helped Les Crane open a dispensary in Ukiah, California, even though the city had a moratorium against opening; sadly, Les Crane was murdered shortly after opening.  From 2005-2010, Patrick opened seven dispensaries throughout Los Angeles, where he was at the forefront of the battle against the DEA. He was dubbed the most raided man in Los Angeles after suffering several raids at the hands of the DEA and the LAPD.  In 2019, Patrick opened the first legal consumption lounge in Philadelphia called Kaneh Kare, which also offers PA medical cannabis certifications.  Two years ago, Patrick discovered a ten-inch cancerous tumor in his colon, which was removed. The doctor recommended six months of Chemotherapy, but Patrick declined and chose to use Rick Simpson Oil.  Now cancer-free, Patrick has taken on his most significant task yet. He is making a documentary with award-winning director Seth Ferranti, trying to solve the 18-year-old cold case murder of his friend, Les Crane, which will be out in February of 2024.
